Our Story

Paul Herman started Sweeps N Ladders with a straightforward idea: homeowners deserve a chimney company that treats the work like it matters — because it does.

Every chimney in North Texas is doing a job most people never think about. It manages heat, vents combustion gases, keeps water out of the structure, and protects the framing behind the walls. When that system fails, it fails quietly — until it doesn’t. Paul built this company around catching the quiet failures before they become expensive ones.

What started as one truck and a ladder has grown into a certified team serving homeowners across McKinney, Prosper, Celina, Frisco, Plano, Dallas, and communities throughout the DFW metroplex. The company has changed in size. The approach hasn’t.

What we believe

We don’t upsell. We don’t create urgency where there isn’t any. We show you what we found — photos, video, plain English — and let you decide what makes sense for your home and your budget.

Every inspection starts on the roof and works down. Cap, crown, flashing, flue, liner, damper, firebox. Top to bottom. One visit. Every finding documented. If something needs attention, we tell you. If it doesn’t, we tell you that too.

How we work

We believe your chimney is a system, not a single part. A cracked crown leads to water in the flue. Water in the flue leads to a corroded liner. A corroded liner leads to heat escaping into the framing. One problem becomes three when it’s ignored — and we’d rather catch it at one.
