What's the difference between a Level 1, 2 and 3 inspection?
Level 1 is a visual check of accessible areas for routine, ongoing use. Level 2 adds a camera inspection of the flue and is typical after a sale, an appliance change, or a chimney fire. Level 3 involves opening up concealed areas when serious damage is suspected.
Do I need an inspection every year?
Yes. The National Fire Protection Association recommends a chimney and fireplace inspection at least once a year, even if you only use it a few times. It's the easiest way to catch cracks, blockages and creosote before they turn into a fire risk or an expensive repair.
How long does an inspection take?
It depends on the level. A Level 1 inspection is part of a standard visit, and a Level 2 takes longer because we run a camera through the whole flue. We'll tell you which level you need and give you an arrival window when you book.
Will I get a written report?
Yes. You get a photo report of what we found, so you can see the condition of your chimney for yourself. It's also useful documentation when you're buying or selling a home in North Texas.
